Street Photography in Hong Kong

I

have spent some time working in Shenzhen, across the border with Hong Kong, and often I spent my weekends going to Hong Kong and stepping into the raw, busy, chaotic and faced with the powerful visual of aesthetics that Hong Kong has to offer.

There are spectacular views, small alleys, food stalls, people, stairs, bars, temples,, vintage billboards, decay facades, the photography subjects are infinite, it’s not a cliche to say that Hong Kong it’s a paradise for the street photographer, or night photographer, or foodie photographer, or just the general photo enthusiast.

Hong Kong's energetic life creates a unique visual opportunity. Professional photographers would plan a shooting schedule, plan the hero shoot, plan the sunrise shoot at Peak Mountain, and plan the best time to shoot at Harbour view, yes, this is the perfect process.

Alternatively, Hong Kong gives you the perfect opportunity to be flexible, explore, and follow your instincts and the city will reward you with photography opportunities that you couldn't have planned

There is a sense of claustrophobia, with the skyscrapers closing in, with the non-stop flow of people, and shops everywhere, it is overwhelming, but in my opinion, these aspects add to the photo opportunities that Hong Kong has to offer.

Enjoy the culture, and the buzz and get lost with your camera in the street of Hong Kong.
